mEinstein Social Terms and Conditions

Welcome to mE Social!

These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and responsibilities associated with the use of mEinstein Social a.k.a. mE Social, our decentralized, privacy-first social media integration platform. By accessing or using mE Social, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you must not use the App or its services.

1. Limited Liability and Clarification

mE Social is designed to simplify your digital life by integrating multiple social media platforms into one unified interface, with added tools such as scheduling, posting, and cross-platform content coordination. While we strive to provide a seamless and privacy-respecting experience, all services are offered “as is” and “as available.” mE Social, its affiliates, and service providers do not guarantee the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of outputs, and shall not be held liable for any losses or damages that may arise from the use or reliance on our features.

Examples of Potential Limitations or Inaccuracies:
  • Scheduling & Publishing Errors: Due to API limitations, platform changes, or authentication issues, scheduled posts may occasionally fail or behave inconsistently across platforms.
  • Cross-Platform Integration: mE Social relies on third-party APIs (e.g., Meta, X, TikTok, LinkedIn). Downtime or rate limits on those services may affect your experience or feature availability.
  • User Content Handling: All content remains local to your device unless actively published by you. However, mE Social does not guarantee that shared content will appear identically across platforms due to varying media handling rules.
User Responsibility:

While mE Social offers tools to optimize your social workflows, final responsibility for what you post, when you post, and where you post it lies with you. We encourage reviewing content before distribution and verifying platform-specific behaviors when necessary.

Liability Limitation:

mE Social, its affiliates, and third-party providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services. This includes issues related to post visibility, content errors, API failures, or third-party service disruptions. These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and survive any discontinuation of service.

By using mE Social, you accept these limitations and agree to use the platform as a convenience tool—not as a guaranteed delivery mechanism for critical communications or campaigns.

2. Goodwill and Intent

At mE Social, we are building with one mission in mind: simplify social media, safeguard user privacy, and empower individuals to take back control over their digital expression. Every feature is designed with positive intent and a deep respect for your data, your voice, and your attention.

Just like its parent platform, mEinstein, mE Social is grounded in user empowerment—but with a focus on communication, coordination, and creative freedom across your social presence. We do not store or analyze your personal content in the cloud. All activity and content remain on your device, under your full control. Our role is simply to integrate, streamline, and enhance, never to extract or exploit.

Our Vision for mE Social:
  • Unified Social Hub: We believe that managing your digital persona shouldn't be a juggling act across platforms. mE Social is your single pane of glass—designed to organize and coordinate all your channels from one place.
  • Privacy by Design: We never see or store your data. Scheduling, posting, and media planning all happen locally. You choose when, how, and where to publish.
  • Power to the Creator: Whether you're a student, entrepreneur, activist, or artist, mE Social is here to amplify your voice, not monetize your behavior. You're in control—not algorithms or ad engines.

This is not just a utility—it’s a stance. In an era where social data is routinely harvested, mE Social chooses a different path: privacy, control, and simplicity.

To learn more about our mission, roadmap, or design values, we encourage you to visit the “About” section within the app or on our main site.

3. User Discretion and Examples

mE Social is designed to be a productivity and privacy-first tool for social media creators, managers, and everyday users. While the app provides features such as content scheduling, multi-platform distribution, and AI-assisted recommendations (e.g., best times to post, content ideas), the responsibility for public communication, content accuracy, and platform compliance rests with the user.

We do not moderate or review your content, and we do not store it. This makes user discretion essential across several key areas:

Content Publishing
  • Public Posts: When scheduling or cross-posting across platforms like Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn, users should ensure content complies with the terms of each platform and reflects their intent.
  • Sensitive Topics: mE Social does not restrict topics but encourages users to exercise care when addressing sensitive issues, especially in public forums where tone, context, and reach matter.
Compliance and Policy Considerations
  • Platform Policies: Each integrated platform (e.g., Instagram, Reddit, TikTok) has its own rules. mE Social does not verify content against those policies. Users must ensure compliance to avoid penalties or bans.
  • Copyright and Attribution: When reposting media or sharing third-party content, users are responsible for ensuring proper credit and permissions.
Use of Recommendations
  • Scheduling Insights: AI-assisted suggestions for optimal posting times are based on general engagement trends and may not reflect your specific audience or intent.
  • Suggested Hashtags or Templates: These are provided as optional productivity aids. Final decisions on usage, tone, and message are always at the user’s discretion.
The Role of User Discretion

mE Social is built to empower, not automate judgment. It streamlines your workflow, but the final voice is yours. We encourage users to always apply their best judgment—especially when sharing public content, representing organizations, or addressing sensitive topics across social platforms.

4. Marketplace Facilitation and Fee Structure

mE Social is a zero-knowledge, privacy-first social media integrator, designed to unify content creation, scheduling, and multi-platform distribution from a single device-native interface. While the core app is free and self-contained on your device, certain optional features or integrations may operate through external APIs, plugins, or licensed content libraries. To maintain transparency, this section outlines our facilitation role and any applicable fees.

Current Fee Model
  • Free to Use: mE Social does not charge users for accessing core features, including:
    • Social account integration
    • Scheduling content across platforms
    • Accessing analytics from local logs
    • Managing and deleting data stored on their own device
  • Optional Add-Ons and Partner Integrations:
    • o Future releases may offer premium modules (e.g., advanced content templates, third-party scheduling APIs, or media libraries). These features, when introduced, will be clearly labeled as paid or third-party components, and will require explicit opt-in.
Facilitation Model (Not a Social Media Platform)
  • mE Social does not function as a content platform or social media network. It acts solely as an on-device orchestrator and scheduler, facilitating user-managed interactions with third-party platforms like Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and others.
  • We do not charge or take a cut from your social media monetization or follower interactions. Those are governed directly by the terms of each external platform.
Future Considerationsn
  • Freemium Possibilities: We may introduce a freemium model in future versions. Users will always retain access to basic social syncing and scheduling features, with optional subscriptions unlocking advanced automation, design assets, or integrations.
  • No Ads. No Data Mining.: Unlike many tools in this space, mE Social will never monetize your usage or analytics data.
Transparency Commitment

All changes related to feature tiers, plugins, or premium integrations will be:

  • Announced in-app with clear consent prompts
  • Published and updated on our official site or help documentation
  • Respectful of user data policies, ensuring no background charges, hidden subscriptions, or data monetization

5. Third-Party Dependencies

mE Social is designed to be a privacy-respecting, device-native hub for managing your social presence across platforms. While the core experience operates independently on your device without cloud dependencies, certain enhanced functionalities may integrate third-party services or APIs — only when explicitly authorized by the user.

Types of Third-Party Services

To deliver a seamless and modern user experience, mE Social may interact with third-party components in the following optional categories:

  • Scheduling & Publishing APIs: To support scheduled or automated posting on platforms like Twitter (X), Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, mE Social may optionally connect with APIs offered by these services. These integrations are governed by the respective platform’s API usage terms and require user approval.
  • Authentication Providers: OAuth integrations from platforms like Google, Facebook, and Apple are used solely for account linking or authentication purposes, where applicable. Credentials and access tokens are securely stored on-device.
  • Content Enhancement Tools: In future versions, we may offer optional access to third-party media libraries (e.g., Unsplash, GIPHY) or content optimization APIs (e.g., Grammarly, Canva, AI-based caption generators).
  • Analytics & Tracking (Local Only): Unlike cloud-based social tools, mE Social performs all usage analytics locally on your device. No user data is sent to external tracking services. However, integrations with optional self-hosted or opt-in services may be made available for advanced users.
Plugin Ecosystem (Optional)

mE Social is designed with a plugin-based architecture. Advanced users may choose to enable third-party modules (e.g., buffer-like schedulers, cloud sync) for specialized use cases. These modules:

  • Are off by default
  • Require explicit install and permission
  • Cannot access your data without your consent
No Core Dependency

mE Social is not reliant on any single external provider. The platform remains fully operational even when third-party services are unavailable. This ensures resilience, autonomy, and user privacy.

User Awareness and Transparency

We are transparent about any third-party services users may opt into. While these providers are selected based on their security, reliability, and API compliance, users are always in control. We do not share data with any external service unless the user initiates the interaction.

6. Data Security and Privacy

At mE Social, your privacy is not just a feature—it is foundational to our architecture. The app is intentionally designed to ensure that no personal data is stored in the cloud or on any of our servers. Every interaction, account connection, and social engagement you manage through mE Social occurs locally on your device, giving you full ownership, visibility, and control over your data.

Device-Local Data Processing and Retention

mE Social does not retain or transmit any user data to our backend systems. Instead, the app leverages on-device storage and processing for all operations—account management, scheduling posts, tracking engagements, and generating insights. This model ensures that:

  • You are the sole custodian of your data.
  • No backups or copies of your data are held by mE Social.
  • Deleting the app permanently deletes all data, unless the user has taken steps to back it up.
  • User Control and Responsibility

mE Social puts powerful privacy tools in the hands of users. With built-in controls for:

    • Data deletion (instant and irreversible from local storage),
    • Scheduling auto-clearance (e.g., auto-deleting scheduled post logs),
    • And visibility toggles for analytics and insights, users are empowered to define how long their data lives and what happens to it.

However, with this autonomy comes responsibility. Since mE Social does not back up or store user content, users must manage their own data backup strategies. We strongly advise using secure device-level backups (e.g., iCloud for iOS, Google Backup for Android) to avoid unintentional loss of content.

    Platform Integrations and Token Management

When integrating accounts from platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Reddit, mE Social utilizes OAuth tokens that are stored securely in your device’s local keystore. We do not store, transmit, or view your tokens or content. You can revoke access at any time within the app or through the respective platform's account settings.

Note: Scheduled posts and connected account settings are encrypted locally using platform-specific secure storage mechanisms (Keychain for iOS, Keystore for Android).

    MetaMask and Other Web3 Wallets

If you choose to use mE Social’s optional Web3 integrations (e.g., minting NFTs, connecting to decentralized identity systems), you will interact directly with wallet providers like MetaMask. You are fully responsible for securely storing your MetaMask recovery phrase, as mE Social has no access to it and cannot assist in its recovery.

    Leveraging Device-Level Security

mE Social relies on the robust security protocols of iOS and Android, including:

    • File system sandboxing,
    • Biometric and device-level authentication,
    • OS-enforced encryption-at-rest,
    • App permission gating.

Accordingly, any security breaches or vulnerabilities are within the domain of the device manufacturer. Users should ensure their operating system and device are up-to-date and protected by strong passwords and biometric locks.

    Encryption and Access Controls

To protect sensitive data on-device, mE Social applies:

    • AES-256 encryption for local post data, account configurations, and scheduling metadata.
    • Encrypted communication with social media APIs over HTTPS/TLS 1.2 or higher.
    • Biometric protection (when enabled) for viewing sensitive analytics or posting dashboards.

All actions within the app are gated by user authentication—nothing is transmitted, posted, or accessed without your explicit approval.

Audit, Compliance, and Privacy by Design

While mE Social does not fall under typical GDPR or CCPA purview due to our non-collection model, we voluntarily follow their principles to set a gold standard for privacy-first design:

    • Right to be forgotten: All data can be permanently deleted by the user with a single action.
    • Data minimization: We collect nothing. Not even your email.
    • Portability: Optional export of post history and settings can be generated locally and shared via secure methods of the user’s choice.

    • Right to be forgotten: All data can be permanently deleted by the user with a single action.
    • Data minimization: We collect nothing. Not even your email.
    • Portability: Optional export of post history and settings can be generated locally and shared via secure methods of the user’s choice.

mE Social undergoes internal audits on:

    • Local data handling
    • Plugin behavior
    • API token management

We do not permit third-party scripts or SDKs with cloud-based telemetry in the production app.

    Privacy Policy

For full transparency, our [Privacy Policy] details:

    • The scope of optional integrations,
    • Local storage practices,
    • Permissions required and why,
    • And the steps users can take to maximize security.

We regularly review our policy to align with evolving global privacy regulations, even if mE Social is inherently compliant by design.

We do not permit third-party scripts or SDKs with cloud-based telemetry in the production app.

    Plugin Ecosystem and Third-Party Extensions

As mE Social evolves, we may introduce a controlled plugin ecosystem to allow users to integrate with third-party tools or social platforms directly from their device. These plugins will be entirely optional, device-executed, and governed by individual permission models set by the user.

To support transparency and control, we will publish a Plugin Manifest and API documentation detailing:

    • The name, function, and access level of each plugin
    • Whether the plugin communicates externally (e.g., via OAuth tokens)
    • What local data it may read/write (if any)
    • How to enable, disable, or remove plugins entirely

While this Plugin Manifest is under development, users will be informed of any new plugin features via in-app notices and changelogs. Your control over integrations will always remain granular, explicit, and revocable.

7. Amendments and User Notification

At mE Social, we are committed to transparency and user empowerment. As our platform evolves—whether through new features, integrations, or compliance updates—we may need to amend these Terms and Conditions. Our process for making and communicating such changes is designed to keep you informed, in control, and confident in your ongoing use of the app.

Our Right to Update Terms

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, especially as:

  • New social media integrations or functionalities are introduced,
  • Regulatory frameworks evolve (e.g., digital services laws, app store policy changes),
  • Or internal privacy, security, or operational protocols are enhanced.

Rest assured, these updates are always made in good faith and with user protection as a core priority.

How You’ll Be Notified

When material changes occur—such as updates to your rights, how integrations work, scheduling functionalities, or any feature that could affect your data usage or retention policies—you will be notified directly through:

  • In-app notifications, and/or
  • Push messages (if enabled).

We do not use email or centralized accounts for user communication, in line with mE Social’s privacy-first, no-login design. Thus, app-level alerts will be the primary method of notifying you about critical changes.

Versioning and Public Access

The most recent version of these Terms and Conditions will always be accessible within the app (under "Settings > Legal") and on our official website. When we update the terms, we will:

  • Clearly label the effective date,
  • Highlight what has changed,
  • And provide a short summary to aid in your review.
Open Feedback Loop

We value your trust and believe that feedback is a cornerstone of responsible design. After any update, we invite you to share your questions or concerns directly within the app’s “Feedback” section or through our support portal. Your input plays an important role in shaping how we build features and evolve our community guidelines.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

At mE Social, we are committed to upholding the intellectual property rights of our users. We believe your content—your ideas, expressions, media, and messages—belongs to you. Our system is built to respect that principle, ensuring that your creations are processed locally on your device and that any rights granted to mE Social are narrowly defined, strictly for operational purposes.

Ownership of User-Generated Content

All content you create, post, upload, schedule, or manage via mE Social—whether text, images, captions, hashtags, post templates, or scheduling metadata—remains your exclusive property. We do not claim ownership over any part of your content.

This includes:

  • Media created for or distributed through third-party platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn),
  • Templates or captions saved locally,
  • Drafts or scheduled posts stored within your app’s local environment.
  • Limited Usage Rights for Platform Operations

By using mE Social, you grant us a non-exclusive, revocable, royalty-free license to use your content strictly for:

    • Executing post scheduling and distribution via third-party APIs (e.g., Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok),
    • Displaying your content in your personal dashboard,
    • Enabling real-time content previews and analytics (if activated),
    • Providing support or diagnostics upon your explicit request.

We do not use your content for advertising, internal training, or third-party analytics unless you opt-in separately.

    Revocation and Retention

Because all your data lives on your device:

    • You can delete any content at any time, which instantly revokes our limited operational rights.
    • Content is not stored on our servers, and no backups are made unless you enable them via third-party storage integrations (e.g., iCloud, Google Drive).
    Protection Against Infringement

We are committed to intellectual property integrity:

    • We do not tolerate misuse or unauthorized reuse of content from other users or third-party sources.
    • If you believe your IP rights are being violated via mE Social’s integrations or automation features, you can report such instances through our in-app Support Portal.

By making intellectual property rights clear and user-centric, mE Social empowers creators to maintain full control over their content in a secure, decentralized environment.

9. User Responsibilities and Conduct

At mE Social, we aim to create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment where users can manage and distribute their social media content across platforms while maintaining complete control of their data. To ensure platform integrity and the well-being of all users, we outline key expectations for behavior and responsible usage.

Acceptable Use

Users are expected to engage with mE Social in a lawful, respectful, and ethical manner. Your interactions—whether drafting, scheduling, or distributing content—should reflect standards of decency and respect for community guidelines across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, TikTok, and others.

Prohibited Conduct

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension, blocked API access, or app deactivation:

  • Spamming or mass-posting content designed to manipulate platform algorithms or mislead audiences.
  • Sharing content that is defamatory, abusive, violent, discriminatory, or otherwise violates local laws or community standards.
  • Using the platform to schedule or distribute hate speech, misinformation, or manipulated media.
  • Unauthorized use of third-party intellectual property or impersonation of individuals, brands, or organizations.
  • • Attempting to tamper with the app’s local storage, intercept API tokens, or exploit platform vulnerabilities.
  • Device-Level Responsibility

Since mE Social stores all user data locally on your device:

    • You are fully responsible for the security of your device and data.
    • Any action taken via your device is considered as originating from you. If you suspect unauthorized use, you should immediately disconnect your accounts from social media APIs and contact support.
    • You must maintain secure backups of your device if you wish to preserve your drafts, templates, or scheduled posts
    • Reporting and Community Integrity

If you encounter misuse or abuse of mE Social's features, we encourage you to report it through our in-app Support Portal. We take community integrity seriously and will take appropriate action based on verified reports.

By using mE Social, you agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a platform built on privacy, creativity, and respect.

10. Termination of Services

At mE Social, we uphold a respectful and secure user environment. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the application or connected services if there is a breach of our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, or other governing agreements. Below are the principles and protocols that guide our termination process:

Conditions for Termination

Your access to mE Social may be suspended or permanently terminated under circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • Repeated or severe violations of the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Use of automation or external scripts that exploit API limits or breach third-party platform guidelines.
  • Distribution of harmful, offensive, or prohibited content.
  • Attempts to bypass local data storage safeguards or manipulate social media integration in unauthorized ways.
  • Appeal Process

We understand that misunderstandings or errors can occur. If your account or device access to mE Social has been restricted, you have the right to appeal the decision. Contact us at appeals@meSocial.app with a summary of your case. Our review team will investigate and respond with a resolution or further instructions.

    User-Initiated Account Termination

As mE Social does not store user data in the cloud, uninstalling the app from your device will effectively terminate your relationship with the platform. To ensure permanent data removal, you are encouraged to:

    • Delete all stored drafts, templates, and scheduled posts from within the app prior to uninstalling.
    • Unlink all connected social media accounts to revoke third-party API permissions.
    • Data Responsibility and Access

Because all data is stored locally, mE Social does not retain any copies of your social posts, schedules, or preferences on external servers. Once the app is removed, your data cannot be recovered by us. We recommend exporting or backing up critical configurations before deletion if you wish to retain them.

      Final Notes

We strive to ensure that any service terminations are conducted with fairness, transparency, and a respect for user autonomy. Our goal is not only to enforce the integrity of mE Social, but also to protect users and maintain trust across the broader ecosystem of social media platforms.

11. International Data Transfer

mE Social is designed from the ground up to prioritize user privacy, data sovereignty, and local device control. Unlike traditional platforms, mE Social does not store or process your personal data on our servers or in the cloud. All user-generated content, settings, and metadata remain on your device, ensuring maximum autonomy and security.

However, by integrating with third-party social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok), your data may be subject to international transfer through those third parties, depending on their own data practices and infrastructure.

Key Principles and Clarifications:
  • No Cloud Storage by mE Social: mE Social itself does not perform international transfers of user data. All local data interactions—posts, drafts, schedules, and media—reside exclusively on your device unless you choose to share them through a third-party service.
  • Third-Party Platform Transfers: When you connect your social media accounts and post or retrieve data through mE Social, the associated platform (e.g., Instagram or Facebook) may transfer your content across borders based on their data centers and operational jurisdictions. These transfers are governed by each platform’s own privacy policies and international compliance frameworks.
    • User Control and Consent: By linking your third-party accounts, you voluntarily initiate data sharing with external services. mE Social will never transmit or transfer data outside your device without your explicit action (e.g., publishing a post, syncing a feed, connecting an account).
    • Consistent User Protections: Even though we do not process your data on our servers, we encourage users to review the data policies of connected platforms. mE Social will only interface with reputable services that maintain compliance with global privacy standards such as GDPR, CCPA, and others where applicable.

For questions about how your data interacts with integrated social platforms or guidance on managing your data across borders, please contact our support team at privacy@social.meinstein.ai.

    12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions for mE Social shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

    Key Points:
    • Jurisdictional Clarity: All legal matters, claims, or disputes arising from the use of mE Social—including app usage, integrations with third-party social platforms, or any provisions in these Terms—will be interpreted under the laws of Massachusetts (MA), USA, where our company is incorporated and maintains its primary operations.
    • Conflict of Law: In the event of any legal conflict between Massachusetts law and that of another jurisdiction (domestic or international), the laws of Massachusetts shall prevail. This ensures a consistent and predictable legal framework for interpreting these Terms and resolving disputes.
    • Venue for Legal Proceedings: Any disputes, claims, or legal actions brought against or by mE Social in connection with your use of the app shall be exclusively resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, USA. You consent to the jurisdiction and venue of these courts.

We have selected Massachusetts as our legal jurisdiction due to its strong reputation for upholding digital rights, consumer protections, and fair legal adjudication—values that align closely with mE Social’s commitment to transparency, user control, and privacy-first innovation.

If you are a consumer based in the EU or UK, mandatory consumer protections under your local laws will not be waived.
