mEinstein Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Welcome to mE Social !

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the rules, standards, and expectations for all users of the mE Social platform. By using mE Social, you agree to comply with this AUP, in addition to our [Terms and Conditions] and [Privacy Policy].

mE Social is designed as a privacy-centric social media integration tool that allows users to manage, schedule, and interact with multiple social platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok, etc.) from a single device-native app. mE Social does not store your content or data on the cloud. All data remains on your device unless you choose to share it via platform APIs.

We are committed to fostering a secure, respectful, and empowering environment. This policy ensures that mE Social remains a platform free from abuse, unlawful activity, and harmful behavior.

1. General Use

As a user of mE Social, you agree to:

  • Use mE Social only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
  • Respect the rights, dignity, and privacy of others when posting, scheduling, or interacting via third-party social platforms.
  • Not use mE Social in a way that disrupts, damages, or harms the platform or the social networks it integrates with.
  • Maintain full responsibility for any content published or scheduled via the app.
  • Acknowledge that mE Social acts solely as a tool for facilitation and scheduling, and is not liable for platform-specific content violations or removals.

2. Prohibited Conduct

To ensure a safe, respectful, and secure experience for all users, mE Social strictly prohibits the following behaviors. These examples are illustrative and not exhaustive — any conduct that undermines user safety, platform integrity, or legal compliance may result in account suspension or termination.

Illegal Activities
  • Engaging in any unlawful behavior while using mE Social, including but not limited to:
  • Coordinating, promoting, or distributing illegal content.
  • Circumventing the rules of third-party platforms (e.g., bypassing platform bans or impersonating verified accounts).
  • Do not use AI-generated or manipulated content to impersonate individuals, create misleading media (deepfakes), or distribute synthetic content designed to deceive, harass, or defame.
  • Using automated tools or bots to excessively schedule, manipulate, or repost content at a volume that violates third-party platform policies or degrades mE Social performance is prohibited.
  • Do not attempt to bypass platform rate limits, flood third-party APIs, or simulate excessive user actions using automation or proxy rotation.
Harmful or Abusive Content
  • Using mE Social to create, schedule, or distribute content that causes harm is strictly prohibited. This includes:
  • Bullying or Harassment: Directing threats, abusive language, or targeted attacks at individuals or groups via social media posts scheduled or managed through mE Social.
  • Hate Speech: Publishing or queuing posts that incite violence or promote hate based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or national origin.
  • Incitement or Glorification of Violence: Including graphic or extremist content intended to provoke or glamorize harm.
Privacy Violations

You must not:

  • Use mE Social to collect or share personal information of others without their explicit consent.
  • Publish private details (e.g., addresses, phone numbers, or financial data) with malicious intent, commonly known as doxxing.
Distribution of Malicious Code

You are prohibited from:

  • Uploading or transmitting files through social content integrations that contain viruses, trojans, worms, or any form of malware.
  • Attempting to exploit or interfere with mE Social’s local operations or those of third-party platforms.
Intellectual Property Infringement

Do not use mE Social to:

  • Share, repost, or queue content that violates copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property protections.
  • Distribute pirated materials or impersonate content creators without attribution or license.

3.Simplification and Explanation of Terms

We understand that not every user is familiar with technical or legal language. This section breaks down commonly used terms in our Acceptable Use Policy to make it more accessible to everyone:

  • Malware: Software intentionally designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to computer systems — including viruses, trojans, spyware, and ransomware.
  • Doxxing: Sharing or publishing someone’s personal information (such as address, phone number, or email) online without their permission, typically to cause harm or harassment.
  • Copyright: Legal protection that gives creators the exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, or display their original works (e.g., images, videos, written content).
  • Trademark: A legally registered word, logo, or phrase that identifies and distinguishes the source of goods or services.

4.Additional Prohibited Behaviors

Users of mE Social must not:

  • Upload or distribute any content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, or promotes hate speech or violence.
  • Violate intellectual property laws, including copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets, by uploading content you do not own or have explicit permission to use.
  • Distribute malicious code, including any file or program designed to damage or disrupt software, hardware, or networks.
  • Violate the privacy of others, such as collecting or sharing personal data (emails, location, biometric data, etc.) without consent.
  • Send unsolicited communications (spam), including messages for commercial, promotional, or phishing purposes, through scheduled posts or integrated social features.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to mE Social systems, including local services, APIs, or any user’s device through exploits, brute-force techniques, or reverse engineering.
  • This ensures that mE Social remains a safe, respectful, and privacy-aligned environment for everyone. If you’re unsure whether something is allowed, please contact support or refer to our Terms and Conditions for further clarification.

    5. Acceptable Uses and Community Contribution

While it's important to define what behavior is prohibited, at mE Social we also believe in celebrating the behaviors that help foster a respectful, helpful, and collaborative environment. Below are examples of how you can use mE Social constructively and in line with our mission of privacy, autonomy, and responsible content sharing.

    Acceptable Uses
    • Cross-Platform Engagement: Use mE Social to schedule, preview, and post to various social media platforms in a way that is intentional, thoughtful, and respectful of each platform’s community guidelines.
    • Community Collaboration: Share tips, templates, and experiences with others who are also navigating multi-channel social media strategies—fostering a peer-driven learning space.
    • Creative Publishing: Use mE Social’s scheduling and distribution tools to express your brand, personal voice, or creative content responsibly and authentically.
    • Respectful Scheduling: Plan and distribute content that reflects your values and voice while being mindful of community sensitivities and global events.
    • 5. Responsible API Use: Use API integrations (e.g., Instagram, Twitter/X) in accordance with their own Terms of Use. mE Social serves as a secure, transparent conduit—not a proxy for misuse.
    Encouraged Behaviors
    • Supportive Interaction: Encourage respectful discourse within any mE Social community spaces (e.g., help forums or Discord), especially toward new users or those seeking guidance.
    • Security Awareness: Promptly report bugs, data anomalies, or suspected misuse. Our ecosystem thrives on responsible feedback.
    • Inclusivity & Representation: Use your content scheduling power to uplift diverse voices and represent a wide range of ideas, stories, and cultures.
    • Knowledge Sharing: Share feedback on how mE Social can improve. User-driven improvement is at the heart of our product roadmap.

By embracing these behaviors, you not only enhance your own productivity and impact but also contribute to a privacy-respecting, creator-friendly ecosystem. Let’s build something powerful—and ethical—together.

    6. Data Use and API-Based Publishing: Compliance with Regulations

While mE Social is not a data monetization platform, users may schedule and publish content across integrated third-party platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram). It is essential that these activities comply with local and international data protection laws, especially when managing personal information, posting on behalf of others, or integrating third-party services via APIs.

    Applicable Legal Frameworks

Users are expected to be aware of and act in accordance with relevant data protection laws, including but not limited to:

    • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Applies to users managing or scheduling content containing personal data about individuals located in the European Union.
    • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): Grants California residents rights over how their personal data is accessed, shared, or disclosed in publishing contexts.
    • Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): Restricts the collection or distribution of personal data for users under 13 without parental consent.
    • Other Local/International Laws: Users are responsible for ensuring their content and account activity complies with applicable laws based on their jurisdiction or that of their audience.
    • User Responsibilities When Publishing

When utilizing mE Social for content scheduling or API-based distribution:

      • Content Ownership and Permissions: You must have the legal rights to post or schedule any content shared through the platform, especially if it involves personal information, third-party images, or endorsements.
      • Consent Management: If your content includes references to individuals or their data (e.g., testimonials, images, or user-submitted media), ensure you have explicit permission to use it in a public context.
      • Compliance with Third-Party APIs: By using integrations such as Instagram Graph API, Twitter API, or Meta tools, users also agree to be bound by those platforms' terms, including their Data Processing Agreements (DPAs). Please review those terms before enabling integrations.
      • mE Social acts only as a conduit for third-party publishing APIs. Any data processed via these APIs (e.g., Instagram Graph API, Twitter API) is governed by the respective platforms’ Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Terms of Use. We strongly recommend reviewing those before enabling integrations.

Should any future plugin include Web3 capabilities, such integrations will remain opt-in and data related to wallets or keys will never be stored or transmitted by mE Social.

        Example Notice:

“Any data processed via third-party APIs (e.g., when publishing to Instagram) is subject to those third-party platforms' data policies and processing agreements.”

      • Prohibited Data Practices:
        • Do not share or post sensitive personal information without consent.
        • Do not attempt to use mE Social to extract or harvest data from third-party platforms.
        • Do not use the platform to publish misleading, fraudulent, or harmful content involving personal information.
      • Ethical Use of Scheduled Publishing

mE Social empowers creators, brands, and individuals to streamline multi-platform communication. With this power comes responsibility. Please ensure that your use of mE Social:

        • Respects the privacy and dignity of all individuals.
        • Upholds platform community guidelines on each connected service.
        • Avoids “over-saturation” or abuse of publishing privileges (e.g., spam, reposting content at excessive intervals).

    7. Enforcement

mE Social is committed to fostering a secure, respectful, and lawful environment for all users. Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) may result in immediate account suspension, permanent termination, and, where applicable, legal action. We also reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in investigating any criminal or civil misconduct.

    Enforcement Procedure

mE Social applies a progressive enforcement process designed to educate, correct, and, if necessary, restrict platform access to maintain integrity and trust.

    • Initial Warning: For first-time or minor violations, users will typically receive a written warning via email or in-app notification. The message will include:
      • The nature of the violation
      • Required corrective actions
      • A specific timeframe to resolve the issue
    • Temporary Suspension: If violations are repeated or severe, mE Social may temporarily suspend the user’s account. During suspension:
      • Scheduled posts will be paused
      • Integrations may be disabled
      • Access to the dashboard may be restricted
The duration of suspension will depend on the severity and recurrence of the violation.
    • Account Termination: For egregious, fraudulent, abusive, or repeated violations, mE Social reserves the right to permanently terminate the user’s account without further notice. This measure ensures the safety and trust of our broader community.
    Reporting Violations

To support community health, mE Social empowers users to report misuse directly.

    • Anonymous Reporting: Users can report violations without disclosing their identity. This helps create a safe environment for whistleblowers and victims of abuse.
    • How to Report To report a violation:
      • Use the in-app “Contact Us” form
      • Email us at support@meintein.ai
      • Please provide relevant details (e.g., platform, scheduled content, screenshots, timestamps) to help our moderation team investigate promptly.
    • Follow-Up While we may not disclose the outcome of all reports for privacy reasons, every submission is reviewed, logged, and handled in accordance with our enforcement policy.

    8. Consequences of Violations

Understanding the potential outcomes of violating the mE Social Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is essential for all users. To uphold a secure, responsible, and respectful environment, we take violations seriously and may take corrective action as outlined below.

Impact on User Data, Integrations, and Scheduled Content
    • Content Modification or Removal: If any scheduled or posted content violates this AUP or applicable law, it may be removed or edited. In such cases, mE Social will notify you of the reason, unless legal obligations or enforcement processes prohibit disclosure.
    • Account Suspension or Termination: Repeated or serious violations may lead to:
      • Temporary suspension of your account
      • Disabling of specific platform integrations
      • Permanent account termination in egregious cases (e.g., misuse of API channels, illegal content, abusive automation)
Affected users will be notified of the enforcement decision, and where applicable, steps for reinstatement will be provided.
    • Data Access and Preservation: Upon suspension or termination, users will have 14 calendar days to request access to their non-violating content and data. This is subject to:
      • Security verification
      • Legal and privacy considerations
      • No pending investigations or malicious conduct findings
    • Violations that trigger abuse reports or blocks from third-party platforms may result in disabled integrations or permanent API disconnects. mE Social is not responsible for restrictions imposed by external services due to user conduct.
    • mE Social is not responsible for third-party platform suspensions or penalties incurred due to user conduct, even if scheduled or routed through our app.
    Appeal Process
    • How to Appeal: Submit an appeal by emailing appeals@meinstein.ai with:
      • Your username
      • A detailed description of the issue
      • The reason you believe the enforcement was incorrect or unjustified
    • Appeal Review Timeline: Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days, unless additional time is needed due to the complexity or severity of the violation.
    • Outcome Notification: After review, you’ll receive a formal communication outlining:
      • The decision
      • Supporting rationale
      • Any reinstatement conditions or limitations
    • Finality of Decision: Appeals are reviewed thoroughly and impartially. The final decision will not be subject to further review. We encourage users to use this feedback constructively to prevent future violations.

    9. Importance of Compliance

Adherence to this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is essential to maintaining the integrity, functionality, and positive community environment of mE Social. Our platform is built on a foundation of trust, privacy, and user empowerment, and we rely on our users to uphold those values.

    Why Compliance Matters

    • Platform Integrity: Violations compromise the reliability and reputation of mE Social. Whether it's abuse of scheduling integrations, posting prohibited content, or unauthorized data handling, each breach can have ripple effects across users, APIs, and community trust.
    • Community Impact: Your actions affect more than just your account. Harmful or illegal content, spam, or misuse of platform features can degrade the experience for others and may result in platform-level restrictions or third-party API blocks.
    • Legal Responsibility: mE Social operates in compliance with global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Users who breach these frameworks not only jeopardize their own usage rights but may also expose themselves—and the platform—to legal consequences.
    • Our Commitment to Fairness and Transparency

We believe that clarity, accountability, and due process are the foundation of good platform governance. By outlining:

      • Acceptable behaviors,
      • Prohibited conduct,
      • Clear consequences, and
      • A defined appeal process,

mE Social ensures a balanced approach that prioritizes both platform safety and user rights.

We encourage all users to review this policy regularly and integrate it into your daily use of mE Social. Together, we can foster a healthy, innovative, and secure environment for sharing, scheduling, and engaging with social content—all under the user's control.

    10. Revision and Updates

mE Social reserves the right to amend this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) at any time. As our services, technologies, and legal obligations evolve, updates may be necessary to reflect current best practices, platform features, or regulatory compliance. It is the responsibility of all users to remain informed and in compliance with the most recent version of this AUP.

    Policy Updates and User Notification

We are committed to keeping users informed and involved in the evolution of our policies.

    • Scheduled and Ad Hoc Reviews mE Social will conduct periodic reviews of this AUP and may make immediate changes as needed based on feature updates, API changes from integrated platforms, or evolving legal standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
    • Effective Immediately All changes to this AUP will be effective immediately upon being posted on our website or displayed in-app. Continued use of the platform signifies your agreement to the revised terms.
    Communication Channels
    • Direct Notification: For significant policy changes, we will notify users via email, push notifications, or in-app alerts.
    • Platform-Wide Transparency: All updates will be published with clear change logs or summaries so users can quickly understand the impact of revisions.
    • User Feedback Welcome: We actively encourage users to submit feedback or questions regarding any changes. Your input plays a critical role in refining the mE Social experience.
    User Responsibility and Consent

By continuing to use mE Social after any posted changes, you acknowledge and agree to the updated AUP. If you disagree with the revised terms, you may discontinue use of the service and request account deletion via our support team.

Changes to the Plugin Manifest or third-party publishing integrations may be reflected through our Plugin Directory (forthcoming), with accompanying updates to API behavior or usage expectations.

This approach ensures that policy transparency and user autonomy remain core to how we govern and grow mE Social.

    11. Intellectual Property Rights

At mE Social, we honor the intellectual property rights of our users and third parties. As an integrator and content orchestration tool for managing social media presence across multiple platforms, mE Social does not claim ownership of the content you create, schedule, or distribute via our app. Our architecture is designed to empower creators by prioritizing autonomy, transparency, and preservation of rights.

    User-Generated and Scheduled Content
    • Ownership Remains Yours: All content — text, images, videos, captions, or metadata — scheduled, posted, or managed via mE Social remains the intellectual property of the user. We do not store, access, copy, or process your content on our servers. Instead, it is managed locally on your device and only routed through APIs at your explicit instruction.
    • Platform-Limited Licensing: When you use mE Social to publish or schedule posts through third-party platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram), you may grant those third-party platforms a license to use, display, or distribute that content, per their respective terms. mE Social does not receive or retain any license or ownership claim over this content.
    • Third-Party IP Compliance: Users are responsible for ensuring that any content distributed through mE Social does not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others. Please avoid using copyrighted images, videos, or text without permission or a clear legal exemption (e.g., fair use).
    • When reposting or scheduling branded content, endorsements, or third-party media, users must follow attribution and licensing requirements established by the content owner or source platform.
    Plugin and API Responsibility

If users connect third-party plugins (e.g., MetaMask, publishing APIs), mE Social is not responsible for the handling, retention, or licensing of content within those platforms. We recommend reviewing the Terms of Service and Content Usage Rights of each third-party platform you connect through mE Social.

    Content Moderation and Reporting

While mE Social does not host or store content, we remain committed to addressing potential violations of IP laws reported through our support channels. If a rights holder believes a user has scheduled or routed infringing content using our service, we will investigate the report, assist in redirecting concerns to the proper channel (e.g., Instagram, Twitter), and, where necessary, suspend further API usage by the offending user.

    Creative Autonomy and Innovation

We believe creators deserve tools that enable them to manage and distribute their work without losing control over it. mE Social is built on this principle — you are always the owner and controller of your content. We simply make cross-platform publishing and scheduling easier, while ensuring your intellectual property stays yours.

    12. Summary and Acknowledgment

The mE Social Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is designed to foster a respectful, secure, and empowering environment for all users managing and distributing content across their social platforms. By using mE Social, you acknowledge that:

    • You understand and agree to abide by this Acceptable Use Policy in its entirety.
    • You are solely responsible for the content you schedule or distribute using mE Social, and for ensuring it complies with all applicable intellectual property laws and content standards.
    • You understand that mE Social does not store, access, or monetize your content and exists solely to facilitate your publishing and scheduling needs in a privacy-first manner.
    • Violations of this policy may result in temporary or permanent suspension of access to mE Social services, subject to the enforcement and appeal procedures outlined herein.

We believe in a platform that respects your voice, protects your rights, and puts you in full control. By continuing to use mE Social, you affirm your commitment to these values and agree to help uphold a community that is ethical, secure, and user-first.
